Help me!
by Rana Marrello on Jan.13, 2012, under Eve
Well, that lasted long huh. 2 out of 4 account have been subbed. I’m trying to avoid subscribing the others, but its getting hard not to.
I like the changes to the new patch. Very user friendly. I just wish they had fixed all those niggles a long time ago.
Time for an update.
by Rana Marrello on Jan.03, 2012, under Eve
It’s been a long time. And I’m sure the smart people amongst you know what’s happened to Rana.
For the rest of you : around 4-5 month’s ago I got bored with EVE. After never thinking I would. I’ve had moments of boredom before and changed my direction several times.
But this time it’s for real.
I’ll not drag this post out.
The site will stay around as the domain is used for other stuff. Keep safe, and fly like ya stole it.
How to loose a maurader
by Rana Marrello on Oct.02, 2011, under Eve
“It’s a really great ship.”
“How do you cope with close in frigates? Don’t they scram?”
“Yep. But that’s easily sorted with a smarty”
“Ohh”, Said our interested Ninja, “I’ve never seen one”
“I’ll demonstrate, just stay out of 4km range. Better make it 6km. I forget the real range”
“Np mate.”
*Click* cool Smartie effects.
Ninja instructs ship to close in on Maurader.
“WTF!!”
“xxxx you are a criminal yada yada yada”
*Pop 1 Maurader*
Salvage Hmmm.
Tears to follow.
WTF? An Update?
by Rana Marrello on Sep.12, 2011, under Eve
Yes. quite possibly this is an update.
I’ve subbed for a while to have a look see at what’s going on. I’ve kept up to date on the basic’s that have happened, but I’m very out of date.
I also need to take stock of where I am and what I’m doing. I’ve got stuff and assests all over the place. Maybe time to drag out some alts and get my shit together.
One of the many reasons I posted rarely was that I have other toons. A trader, 2 0.0 living toon’s that I was spending to much time on. Rana became a “When 0.0 is quiet”. I think she’s worth more then that.
As the 0.0 side is closed (Alliance left the area while I was away) I need to get my 2 toons and as much stuff as I can jump out. And sell the rest if I can get it to sell. While the current owners are RA and AAA they don’t seem that busy in the area. It used to be that busy that it was like trading in a small hub. Not any more. And I cannot get to any of the stuff that not in the station my alts are in so as to jump it out. So apart from the station my toons are in Everthing get’s sold or trashed.
Meh, my own fault.
I’ve spent my eve life moving stuff around it seems. They call EvE spreadsheet on-line, well, it’s a futuristic version of trucking.

too many places. As Khalia Nestune wrote here CCP’s been reducing the abilities that Ninja’s have over Mission bears. Kahalia says that Ninjaing is becomming harder and harder to get loot or tears. Kahalia’s one of the smart guys, if that’s his opinion he’s most likley correct. Just as I come back. Great.
I always meant to pull all my stuff together, sell of the dross and see what was left. What I ended up was buying a new xx ship instead of going to get one I already had fitted. I guess it got to the point where i was spending to much time moving stuff then doing stuff. and 0.0 is like being in the army. “Hurry up and wait”
Soooooooooo. I’ve left 0.0 apart from the stuff I cannot sell, and a toon to sell it all. Rana and other Alts are compressing ma shit (I is down ‘wid ‘da homies) to a reasonable level. IE where my assests list isn’t full of dross that I don’t want or will use. I guess I’m eve’s equivilant of a hobo.
After that?
Of body, style and confessions.

The Latest update to ≡V≡ was a revelation or a waste of time depending on who you listen to.
While there was not much to affect game play, unless you count shooting Sansha in PUGS. PUGS are the spawn of the devil, at least in WoW.
Confessional shock and horror.
I’m going to make a confession here. I used to play WoW. A lot. 2 lvl80′s for a start. I’ve played enough PUGS to know they rarely work in stressful conditions. Manys the time the Tank blamed the Healer for not healing, when the Tank was woefully under spec’ed for the job. Heck many’s the time when the Healer had his thumb up his arse.
My main was a healer. I wasn’t too bad. Healing in Karazhan was the norm. Those, were of course, all in guild runs. We knew each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Heck I’d healed in the 25man instance after that (I forget the name, grull something). PUGS are a different beast all together. There is no prior knowledge of the members, no respect, only a personal goal. No-one is really worried about sticking thru thick and thin. People leaving PUGS in the middle of the run was nothing unusual.
How much worse would it be in the cut throat environment of EvE, where I can do far much more damage if I don’t get involved. It is much harder to see if anyone is not pulling their weight in EvE unless you are in a tiny group, and then you’ll have problems against the Sansha. Heck if someone annoys you enough you can take our anger out on the person. Not many games where you can do that.
Back on track
The changes that the latest patch brought about removed legacy graphics support, gave new character portraits and a few other things.
The changes to the graphics seemed to affect very few people. But they were some what vocal. In answer to them: Either get a new fricking PC that’s not coal powered, or install a graphics card that uses something better then Crayons. That said I posted a graphics card to a friend with a new PC that was using the internal graphics card. He had gone from good frame rates to a slide show.
Now to the pretty charater pictures.
Me and a few Alts. If ya see any of these applying to ya corp, think twice.
I spent hours making pretty pictures for my characters, Rana was one of the last and took no more then 10 minutes. I realised that I should be playing the game of internet spaceships instead of making pictures. I prefer a characterful face instead of everyhair and pore carfully touched. I was disapointed by the lack of choice in clothing. If ya wanted combats and t-Shirt’s you are fine. I guess when (if) micro transactions appear you’ll get more choice.
My trader alt rarely leaves the station. I have visions of him being a Jabba the Hutt type. Sedentry, overweight and somewhat unhealthy in appearance. Was I able to acheive this goal? Nope, not a hope. Weight options went from thin to… less thin. “OK,” thought I, “what about making him short”. There is no height option at all.
While I recognise that this is not the main feature of the game by far, we have to have the option of some basics such as height and weight regardless of bloodline. When the walking in stations update comes out we’ll all be the same height and the same build. The only differance is the face and bust, and let’s face it 90% of them will be overly large. Hmmm, CCP didn’t scrimp on those options huh? I guess they DO know their playerbase.
Ohh, and if you have the chance to re-do your picture seriously consider taking the chance. From all accounts you won’t get a chance to change it again. And ZOOM IN FFS! And LOOK AT THE LIGHTING. Remember the picture is much smaller in the game. Make your toon standout form the crowd. Not another :
Good greif grief

No one can deny that Suddenly Ninja’s are nothing but unpredictable. They recently got this small kill in Lowsec. When I say small I am, of course, being ironic.
A FRICKING Rorqual kill. And in Hulkageddon week. That’ll help the stats
What no Highslots? only 1 fitting in the Lows? I cannot comment on the Mids as it’s all shield tanking shit, but why the differant size reppers?
I hazard a guess at a newbie Rorqual pilot who really should have trained properly. Or maybe a muppet that “Just had to try it out” .
We are all tempted. Buy a new shiney and the “I’ll just take it for a quick spin”, but honestly. Check fricking Local dude.
